For exercising on a concrete floor, it's generally recommended to use an exercise mat that is at least 1/2 inch (about 12 mm) thick to provide adequate cushioning and support. Thicker mats, around 3/4 inch (about 19 mm) or more, are ideal for high-impact activities or for added comfort. This thickness helps protect your joints and provides better shock absorption on hard surfaces.
