The Excalibur RS370 is a universal remote start system, meaning it can work with many vehicles, including the 2007 Lincoln Navigator. However, because the Navigator has a factory transponder-based anti-theft system (PATS—Passive Anti-Theft System), you’ll need additional components for proper installation.
What You’ll Need:-
Remote Start System:
✅ Excalibur RS370 -
Transponder Bypass Module:
- Omega OL-MDB-ALL or OL-BLADE-AL64 (flashable CANBUS bypass module).
- This bypass module allows the remote starter to communicate with the Navigator's anti-theft system without using a key inside the vehicle.
-
T-Harness :
- Simplifies installation by reducing the need to cut/splice wires.
- Omega TH-FO1 or a compatible T-harness for Ford/Lincoln vehicles can make the process cleaner.
-
Firmware Flashing Tool (if using flashable bypass):
- Omega FlashLink Updater to program the bypass module with the correct firmware for the 2007 Navigator.
-
Relays/Resistors (if needed):
- Some installations may require additional relays or resistors, depending on optional features like door locks, trunk release, etc.
-
Basic Installation Supplies:
- Soldering iron or crimp connectors
- Electrical tape or heat shrink tubing
- Multimeter for verifying connections
- Tachometer Signal: Required for proper remote start operation. You can tap into the tach wire at the PCM or use virtual tach programming if supported.
- Door Lock/Unlock: Integration through the bypass module or additional relays if needed.
- Parking Light Confirmation: For visual confirmation when the system is active.
Pro Installation Tip:
If you're not experienced with remote start installations, consider professional installation. The Navigator’s complex wiring, CANBUS system, and PATS security can make it challenging without proper tools and experience.
