To install McGard wheel locks, first remove one lug nut from each wheel where you intend to install the lock. Replace it with the McGard wheel lock and hand-tighten it initially. Then, use the special key provided with the locks to securely tighten each lock nut to the manufacturer's recommended torque specifications using a torque wrench.
